Executive Director/President Dr. Sarah Jensen was born and raised in Tucson, AZ where she developed her love of animals through active participation in both 4-H and FFA. Knowing that she wanted to become a veterinarian from an early age she decided to move to Colorado after high school graduation to obtain residency and improve her chances of being accepted into veterinary school.

After completing a bachelor’s in animal science from Colorado State University she attended the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Accepting an associate position with Granville Veterinary Service Large Animal immediately after graduation and she has been a part of the Upstate NY community ever since.

In 2011 she became part owner of Granville Veterinary Service Large Animal and is still an active member of the practice, providing routine medical care for all large animal species in the area as well as acupuncture and chiropractic services. Late in 2019 she spearheaded the development of ADK Spay and Neuter, a non-profit organization with the mission of providing affordable but high quality spay/neuter services for the Upstate NY community.

When not focused on her professional career and community activities she is a wife and mother, with two active boys. In her free time, she enjoys attending her kids sporting events, gardening, raising chickens, painting and reading.
